A real girl-site

My girlfriend has just released her brand new website about shops and cafés in Manhattan. The site is 100% Girl, all in soft pink nuances and with little ponys all over. My girlfriend take the role as host and animal keeper, strolling across the screen and playing with the ponys.

Another great book

I recently went on to tell about a great book named "Freakonomics", and now I have another great book to share, called "The Tipping Point". There's no point in giving a comprehensive review, since so many others have done this already, I just wan't to say that I find it a very interesting book.

read more about it at http://www.gladwell.com/tippingpoint/index.html

We got published

We've written an article about fashion("we" = me and my friend Helle). It's an introduction to a series of articles; and to what we think is the most interesting trends for this spring, shaped as a simple guide. The writing style is sarcastic and extravagant, but in a funny way. In extent to the actual content, the article contains a bold suggestion to the reader, to do something about his or hers personal style. It's not (entirely) about spending large amounts of money on expensive clothing; it's about making a personal statement with what you have. Don’t be afraid to choose an unusual outfit: flash you fash!

The text is in Danish, and it was published in a magazine called "Delfinen" (the dolphin) from an organization at the University of Aarhus. Read it in the following two posts.

Major discoveries

I need to blog this! In the last couple of days I’ve found some truly extraordinary programs/services/books, which I need to share.

The first I found was a system called FolderShare, enabling you so synchronize documents between your computers, share images with friends and family, and remotely access your files from any computer, as long as your computer is online somewhere in the world. It’s not new, however, it used to be a service you paid for. Now it’s available for free. http://www.foldershare.com/

The second service I found is called Windows Live. Right now, it is available from http://www.live.com/, as a public beta, but it works really great. It is perfect for designing a personal start-page, containing everything from weather-forecasts to RSS-feeds. It’s not revolutionary, but it works pretty damn well. It does pretty much the same as Dashboard on OS X, in combination with an RSS-reader. I use Dashboard too, but I like this better. Besides, it doesn't take up 2 gb of virtual memory to load!

I also just read a book called Freakonomics, A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything. You can read it in a day or two, and it’s really worth it. http://www.freakonomics.com/
